2. Scope of the Service

Consultations provide a supportive space to explore concerns, better understand a child or young person’s needs and consider practical strategies and next steps.

Depending on the consultation, support may include discussion of:

* ADHD, autism and other neurodevelopmental traits
* Behaviour and emotional regulation
* Sensory differences
* Sleep and routines
* School-related challenges
* The assessment process
* ADHD medication information
* Practical strategies, adjustments and resources

The content of each consultation is tailored to the family’s circumstances and the information provided.

3. What the Service Does Not Provide

Beyond The Box Solutions does not provide:

* Diagnostic assessments for ADHD, autism or other conditions
* A diagnosis or confirmation that a child has a particular condition
* Prescriptions or medication monitoring
* Individual instructions to start, stop or change medication
* Emergency, crisis or urgent mental health support
* Medical treatment or psychotherapy
* Legal advice or formal SEND advocacy

Consultations may help families explore whether a formal assessment or input from another professional could be appropriate. Any observations or discussions about possible traits are not a diagnosis.

ADHD medication consultations provide general information to help families understand medication and prepare for conversations with their child’s prescriber. Decisions about medication must be made with the clinician responsible for the child’s medical care.

4. Not a Substitute for Medical Care

The information and guidance provided are intended to support—not replace—care from a GP, paediatrician, prescriber, mental health professional or other appropriately qualified practitioner.

Please seek medical advice if you are concerned about your child’s physical or mental health. In an emergency, call 999 or attend your nearest emergency department. For urgent medical advice, contact NHS 111.

Beyond The Box Solutions is not an emergency service, and emails and enquiry forms are not monitored continuously.

5. Children and Young People

A parent or carer booking a consultation confirms that they have parental responsibility or appropriate authority to arrange the service.

The involvement of a child or young person will depend on their age, understanding, wishes and the type of consultation. Where appropriate, a child or young person may meet with Ellie independently, with arrangements and boundaries agreed beforehand.

The child or young person’s wellbeing remains the priority. They will not be pressured to discuss subjects they do not feel ready to explore. However, confidentiality cannot be maintained where there is a safeguarding concern or a risk of serious harm.

6. Information You Provide

The usefulness of a consultation depends on the accuracy and completeness of the information shared. Parents and carers are responsible for providing relevant information about existing diagnoses, health conditions, medication, professional involvement and any immediate risks or safeguarding concerns.

Relevant reports or other documents may be requested before the consultation. Please only provide information that you are entitled to share.

Beyond The Box Solutions cannot be responsible for guidance based on information that is inaccurate, incomplete or withheld.

 7. Confidentiality and Safeguarding

Information shared during consultations will be treated respectfully and confidentially in accordance with professional and legal responsibilities.

Information will not normally be shared with schools, healthcare professionals or other third parties without consent. Information may be disclosed without consent where:

* There is a concern that a child or another person may be at risk of harm
* Disclosure is required by law
* There is another overriding professional or public-interest responsibility

Where it is safe and appropriate to do so, Ellie will aim to discuss the need to share information with you first.

Information about how personal and health information is collected, stored and used is provided in the Privacy Policy

 8. Written Summaries and Guidance Plans

Where included, a concise written summary may outline the key areas discussed, suggested strategies, resources and possible next steps.

A more detailed Personalised Guidance Plan may be available for an additional fee. The content, timescale and price will be agreed before work begins.

Written summaries and guidance plans:

* Are based on the information available at the time
* Provide supportive guidance rather than diagnosis
* Are not diagnostic assessments, medical reports or expert-witness reports
* Do not guarantee access to an assessment, diagnosis, school provision or other service
* Should not be altered or presented as having a different professional purpose

 9. Appointment Format

Consultations may be offered online across the UK or face to face, depending on the service, location and availability.

For online appointments, families are responsible for:

* Having a suitable device and internet connection
* Joining from a reasonably private and appropriate environment
* Ensuring that a responsible adult remains available where required
* Providing an accurate telephone number in case the connection is lost

If a significant technical problem on Beyond The Box Solutions’ side prevents the consultation from going ahead, the appointment will be rearranged without charge.

Appointments will normally finish at the agreed time. If a client joins late, it may not be possible to extend the session.

 10. Prices and Payment

Current prices are displayed on the website and will be confirmed before the appointment.

An invoice will be sent following the consultation and must be paid within **seven calendar days** of the invoice date.

Any additional work, including a detailed Personalised Guidance Plan, will only be completed once its scope and price have been agreed.

If another person or organisation has agreed to fund the appointment, the person making the booking remains responsible for ensuring payment unless otherwise agreed in writing.

 11. Cancellations and Rearranging Appointments

Beyond The Box Solutions does not currently charge a cancellation fee. However, please provide as much notice as possible if you need to cancel or rearrange, as appointment time is reserved specifically for your family.

Repeated late cancellations or missed appointments may affect whether further appointments can be offered.

If Ellie needs to cancel an appointment, you will be contacted as soon as possible and offered an alternative date. Beyond The Box Solutions is not responsible for indirect costs resulting from a cancelled appointment, such as travel or time away from work.

Any future changes to the cancellation policy will be made clear before booking and will not apply retrospectively to an appointment that has already been confirmed.

 12. Online Booking and Cancellation Rights

Where a service is booked online or by telephone, you will normally have a legal right to cancel the contract within 14 days of it being agreed.

If you ask for an appointment or other work to begin during this 14-day period, you are requesting that the service starts before the cancellation period has ended. Once the service has been fully provided, the legal right to cancel will normally end.

If work has started at your request and you cancel before it is completed, you may be responsible for the proportion of the service already provided.

To cancel, email ellie@btbsolutions.co.uk with your name, the appointment date and a clear statement that you wish to cancel.

Nothing in these Terms affects your statutory consumer rights.

 13. Outcomes and Professional Judgement

Every child, young person and family is different. Although Ellie will provide support with care and professional skill, no particular outcome can be guaranteed.

Families remain responsible for deciding whether to follow suggested strategies, seek an assessment or contact another professional. Where a need falls outside the scope of Beyond The Box Solutions, Ellie may recommend seeking support from a more appropriate service.

 14. Communication Between Appointments

Brief administrative communication by email may be available between appointments. Email should not be used for urgent concerns, crisis support or extensive clinical discussion.

If a question requires detailed consideration, review of new information or further personalised guidance, an additional appointment may be recommended.

15. Feedback and Complaints

Beyond The Box Solutions welcomes feedback and aims to resolve concerns fairly and respectfully.

If you are unhappy with any aspect of the service, please contact ellie@btbsolutions.co.uk with details of your concern. You will receive an acknowledgement, and a full response will normally be provided within 14 working days.

 16. Use of Resources

Written guidance, templates and resources supplied by Beyond The Box Solutions are for the personal use of the family or young person receiving the service.

They must not be copied, sold, published, uploaded online or used commercially without written permission. Families may share relevant documents with professionals involved in their child’s support, provided that the documents remain complete and unaltered.

 17. Privacy

Beyond The Box Solutions processes personal information, including information about health and children, in accordance with applicable data-protection law.

Please read the separate Privacy Policy for information about what is collected, why it is collected, how long it is retained, who it may be shared with and your data-protection rights.

 18. Changes to These Terms

These Terms may be updated when services, working practices or legal requirements change. The version applying to your consultation will be the version available when your appointment is confirmed.

 19. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the law of England and Wales. Any dispute will be subject to the jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales, without affecting any mandatory rights you may have as a consumer elsewhere in the UK.
